Akwesasne Child and Family Services Free Summer Bash

Original Air Date Thursday July 9th, 2015

Akwesasne Child and Family Services Free Summer Bash being held on Wednesday July 15 from 5p-7p at Snye Recreation. It is also a drug and alcohol free family event. Tracie Cook and Brandon David are both Community Support Workers from the Akwesasne Child and Family Services. The event will feature a free BBQ meal, parachute races, family dodge ball, bouncy houses, prize giveaways, etc. The ACFS Mobile Unit will be on site pumping the music for the event. This is a pilot project where the goal is to bring the fun and activities to each district every week, if this is successful. They want to strengthen families and make memories in a positive manner. Canoe Journeys will also be on display so community members can learn about Canoe Journeys, like how to use the canoe and the benefits of being out in the water with co-workers, friends or family. The Free Summer Bash will also be at Snye Recreation on July 22 and 29. No drop-offs please. The whole idea is to play together as a family.
